This 1948 Center Hall Colonial house was transformed by Shull Architects of Baltimore in 1992. Throughout one sees design elements inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement and Frank Lloyd Wright. The large living room with hardwood floors and wood-burning fireplace are retained from the original house. Custom black cabinets with glass display cases were added. On the opposite wall are built-in cabinets with brushed chrome barrister style doors. The two car garage with newly resurfaced floor connects to the kitchen. Beyond the garage on the outside is a second red door to an office space with a full bath which could be used as a fourth bedroom. The driveway leads to the lighted front entrance and wraps around to the office. I am told there is parking for well over ten cars. The grounds are spacious, level, and landscaped around the borders. If you should wish to add a swimming pool, the office space could be used as a convenient Cabana. There is a first floor bedroom with bath to the left of the foyer. The bedroom with bath directly above has the same dimensions. These two bathrooms retain the original 1940's black and white tile. To the right upstairs you are greeted by a master bedroom suite comprised of a sitting room connected to a large bedroom by double doors with Italian glass knobs and hardwood floors throughout. The bedchamber has a magnificent ceiling in the Wright style and walk-in closet, bath with Jacuzzi/shower, double vanity, and linen closet. Basement also has washer and dryer, storage room, and an additional finished room with an abundance of cabinets and a cedar closet. HVAC was replaced in 2020. Basement plumbing recently replaced with copper, two hot water heaters four years old and two oil tanks.
